About David Mittner
I currently live in Mesa, Arizona. I, however, was born and bred in the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania. My father, who was an avid railfan himself, spoon fed his sons the love he had for the Pennsylvania Railroad and other local roadnames. I attended and graduated from the Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh, PA. I have won many awards and accepted many commissions for my work. A number of my pieces can be found in private collections across the United States. Besides my accomplishments in railroad art, I have also been commissioned by several individuals to paint portraits and landscapes. For the past two decades I have also created artwork for the United States Postal Service. Lobby displays and special envelope designs commemorating either the release of new stamps, historical or community events are just a couple of ways I have performed work for them.
